Elders of Azeroth membership is open to anyone regardless of race, class, spec, or level.  Elders does have a few specific requirements in order to be a member in good standing.

Age - The minimum age requirement for membership is 30 years old, hence the name "Elders".

Account Activity -

  • Because of the increase in hackings,  we do demote member's toons to the lowest rank if they are inactive for a period of 3 months.

  • As a rule, if an account is suspected of being hacked then the toon name(s) will be reported immediately and the toon(s) will either be demoted or kicked from the guild until such time that the issue is resolved or we have made contact with you.  This is strictly to prevent any further damage to the guildbank.  We have had a very generous guild and we try to protect our investments.  Please understand that until we have specific information from you, we cannot know the real reason damaging activity has occurred and we must take preventative measures until we can speak directly with you.  This is not to be taken as a direct reflection on you  but merely as protection fo the guild.  We will always speak with you privately about the matter.  Blizzard has been very good at reacting to our hackings in a timely manner.
  • The new guild ranks offer a 10-day grace period to anyone who has left or been kicked from the guild in order to retain their guild reputation.   We will always contact you privately and your issues will be held in confidence.
  • You will not be kicked from the guild unless you have been inactive for more than 6 months. There are some exceptions that are decided by the guildmaster.  If you choose to re-enter the guild, you are free to do so as long as you were in good standing with us at the time of your last activity.  Contact any member of our guild at that point and they can then pass on your request for an invite to one of the GM Assistants.

Respect -  As in any social setting, sometimes personalities do not click.  Please remember that we must respect each other. A slip-up now & then is understood; just make it right. Please be careful of your language and judgements. It is only fair that all should feel comfortable to come to the game, but always remember it is still a public forum and, as such, should follow basic guidelines of respect and civility. I would hate to lose members because of unwillingness to "play nice".

Language:  I have repeated this one for a reason.  One of the nice features of chat is the ability to enable the mature language filter.  This allows those individuals who wish not to "hear" (read) language they would feel uncomfortable with.  However, it has become commonplace for many players throughout WoW to spell certain words in such a way that the filter will not work.  This is unfair to those who have chosen the filter, and is quite disrepectful by the person typing those words out specifically knowing they will not be filtered.  Please be courteous of all members in the guild.  We have many older members that are not used to this type of language and many from religious backgrounds that choose not to use such language.  Please save it for the good ole' boys at the party!

Knowledge - Membership is only granted to people who understand and agree to these guidelines.

Drama - While no guild is drama free we strive to remain as drama free as possible.  Instigators, trouble makers and obnoxiousness are not only discouraged but is dealt with swiftly and decisively.  We feel that there is enough of that in real life and we are playing WoW for a diversion from the drama of real life and to have fun.

PLAY NICE:  PLEASE remember that we have members from all walks of life, many different backgrounds, both religious and non, and many that are of a much older generation. While this is a game we choose to pay for and play, it is also a place that we choose to escape from our own realities at times. Please remember that many are dealing with real life issues that cause alot of stress in their lives and we should not have to deal with added stress in the game.

It is my job as Guildmaster to make sure that no one person is so offended as to cause them to leave.  Because of this I have named certain individuals as GM Assistants to assist me in times when I am unable to be online.  These individuals can help to diffuse a situation and can act in my stead if needed for any disciplinary issues.

I enjoy playing this game as I am sure all of you do!  We wouldn't be here if we didn't.  Let's all make it an environment that all of us can feel comfortable enough to escape to, yet safe enough to remain.
