Elders of Azeroth began on December 14, 2008 by Lonnie & Lisa Wilcox. We started with a core group of 10, Kathy (Illgetyou) being one of those members. We have had members come & go since then, some moving onto raiding guilds, others quitting the game altogether. From those meager beginnings to today's guild of over 300 toons and more than 125 members Elders has grown and progressed into an enjoyable, helpful community of mature, like-minded World of Warcraft players. Elders has enjoyed success in reaching a guild level of 25 while its members quest, run dungeons and raids, and help each other with little things like sharing materials for leveling professions and making high level gear... We started this guild mainly for one reason and one reason only - NO KIDS!!! Love them, but have to do without them in the game! We got so tired of all the jumping around when in party or groups with them and the constant "yo momma" jokes as well as always asking for stockade runs... I mean, come-on PLAY THE GAME! So... we decided to go mature... quiet... with adult conversations... HAH!!! We wanted the social aspect of the guild to be more respectful than an open guild and in doing so, I believe we have made many friends. The popularity of Facebook has opened up friendships there as well for many to remain in contact outside of WoW. Rarely does a member log into the game and find themselves alone. There is almost always someone to chat with or ask for help or ideas on something you are involved in. In general, Elders is mainly a social guild but there are also opportunities to Raid, do rated battlegrounds, PVP and about any other aspect of WoW. We pride ourselves on being a non-committal guild - one that you can chose to sit back quietly and watch the conversations as you play or one that you can actively raid in or do quick dungeon runs in. It is entirely up to you as a player and we don't believe in placing in pressure on any member to play the way they dont wish to. The are basic rules that we do employ and those are listed in a separate link. Please take a moment to peruse them so there is no confusion if anything should arise. I appreciate all of the members in this guild that have made it what it is today! I still cannot believe I have had this guild for so long! I love all of the friends that I have made here, and I am sure many of the others have enjoyed this wonderful perk of having a social guild as well! Long live the Alliance!! p.s. We have started a sister Horde Guild as well for those time when we just need to do something different. Please look us up! We are also on Garona and the guild name is Azeroth Elders |

Little did I know that "mature" people such as ourselves could have such a great time!! We are a hardy bunch! We love our jokes and I think all would agree that we love the fact that we understand each other's jokes. After all, our jokes of our past are not understood by those that are 18 and younger... we just have too much history to rely on and to laugh about! It is nice to chat our music from our teenage years and still recognize it for the classic that it is.
